Even Refugee Who Struggles With Social Cues Now Starting To Feel A Little Unwelcome In UK

After the Rwanda Bill was ratified in the House of Commons on Tuesday, even a refugee who struggles to pick up social cues has now started wondering whether he’s welcome here. “What does it mean when someone is willing to spend £1.3 million per person just to ship you to a different country,” asked the Afghanistan war veteran, who fought alongside British armed forces.

The Bill was passed despite the Supreme Court’s judgement that Rwanda is an unsafe country where migrants are likely to face persecution. This eventually gave the asylum-seeker pause for thought. “Sometimes I get the feeling that people don’t want me here,” he said.

At press time the asylum-seeker — who struggles to read between the lines — was relieved to hear that the Rwanda Bill was in fact passed with his best interests at heart
