Despite Hosting Less Than 5% Of Refugees In Europe, UK Still Unfairly Saddled With...

“Despite hosting less than 5% of the refugees in Europe, the UK is still unfairly saddled with a disproportionate responsibility to complain about them,” said Sunak in defence of his flagship Rwanda Bill that was passed in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“The UK is responsible for a staggering 63% of complaints about refugees, far exceeding any other European country, and critics who claim that the UK isn’t doing its fair share for the refugee crisis clearly choose to ignore this fact.”

The Rwanda Bill will cost taxpayers upward of £600 million. “People think it’s easy to complain. They think complaining is easier than helping the refugees — the most vulnerable people on the planet. But complaining clearly is not easy and, if anything, possibly even more expensive than helping.”

At press time, the PM felt satisfied that this had been the most money ever spent on not helping refugees.
